BAKED LEG OF LAMB – Cooking Instructions
One of the most common questions we get in the retail store is “How do I cook my leg of lamb?” The following instructions will help you put a perfectly cooked leg of lamb on your table.
Preheat Oven to 400°F
Bake for 1/2 hour at 400°F uncovered. Cover and lower temperature to 375°F and cook for another 2 hours or until done. Optional when you cover the lamb and lower the temp add your choice of seasoned vegetables around lamb with 1/2 cup water.
Making this classic Greek sandwich is easy with our prepared kebabs and tzatziki sauce. Craving a Gyro? Just pick up a package of our Gyro meat and swap for the kebabs.
1 package of our house marinated pork, chicken, beef or lamb kebabs
1 tub of our prepared tzatziki sauce
1 tomato chopped
1/2 sliced onion
4 Greek style pitas
Grill the kebabs and then remove the cooked meat from skewers.
Grill the pitas for one minute each side.
Spread the tzatziki sauce in each pita.
Add the tomato and onion slices.
Add the meat to the pita.
Wrap and enjoy!
GREEK HORIATIKI SALAD
Enjoy this classic Greek salad with any meal.
2 Tomatoes sliced into wedges
2 tsps. Greek Oregano
1 small Cucumber sliced
1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 Red Onion sliced
1/4 cup Kalamata Olives
1/4 lb. Feta Cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
Arrange vegetables in a shallow dish. Cut feta cheese into large slices and place on top of of vegetables. Layer Kalamata Olives on top. Sprinkle with Greek Oregano, salt and pepper. Drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and serve.
ROASTED VEGETABLE MEDLEY
A delicious vegetarian side or meal with a side of Horiatiki Salad.
2 Zucchini cubed
1/3 tsp. Pepper
1 Medium Eggplant cubed
1/2 tsp. Granulated Garlic
1 Red Pepper cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 tsp. Salt
4 Potatoes cubed
1 tbsp. Oregano
1 Red Onion sliced
1/3 cup Olive Oil
2 Tomatoes cut into wedges
Toss all ingredients together in a large bowl. Transfer to a large baking sheet. Broil on high in the oven for 45 minutes turning occasionally to cook on all sides.
